Things That Don't Suck

Having someone come to your house and give you each an hour-long massage every weekend to the tune of about $25.

Shhh. Don't tell Mitch I snuck this photo.

A few years ago when the exchange rate was a bit better, I could walk a block to the family club and get an hour long massage for $11, including tip. I was there every other day, lol. Now it's $16, which is still phenomenal. The person we had come to the house was the manicurist. We could get a mani/pedi at home for $5! Though I do hate the way Brazilians paint the toenails and get polish all over, then wipe it away- it still leaves color stained on my skin.

The mani/pedi lady here chages $10 to come to the house, but I agree with the paint job-not great, and that's pretty much how I do my own, so not really worth it, plus the nail polish here is terrible. It literally disappears after a few days. I always use my own.

I'm jealous. Not only of your massage arrangements and price, but also your back porch and view. I think I would always be on that porch.

Nomads-we live on our patio! Except in the early part of the day when the biting/dengue insects are the worst.
